Big changes have taken place at Westover Nissan on Wallisdown Road in Bournemouth! The busy showroom has been extended and fully refurbished, following an £1.5 Million investment project, bringing it bang up to date with the very latest Nissan standards.
The stunning new showroom has inside space for 14 cars (previously it only held eight), meaning customers can see a wider range of vehicles when they visit. It also brings spacious new customer waiting areas, plenty of car parking spaces and a larger and more efficient workshop.
“Westover Nissan’s Wallisdown showroom is one of the busiest Nissan locations in the UK but we were operating from a relatively small space and we’d simply outgrown it,” says Paul Hughes, Brand Manager for Westover Nissan. “As the line-up of cars in the Nissan range - and their popularity - has gone from strength to strength over recent years, so have our customer numbers. We were bulging at the seams! With all the building work now behind us, the team here is enjoying the extra space and the opportunities we now have to offer a higher level of customer service.

The busy dealership also opened the doors on a brand-new Service Centre just a few weeks ago. Westover Nissan’s technicians can now carry out up to 50 services, MOTs or vehicle maintenance appointments a week (Monday to Saturday). There’s room for a maximum of 19 cars at a time (seven more than was possible in the old facility) in bespoke bays, each kitted out with all the very latest diagnostic equipment.
David Buckland, Westover Nissan’s Aftersales Manager said: “Our new service workshop brings huge benefits for our customers. There are many more appointments available, so people have more choice about when they book their car in and shorter booking lead times. We are now also able to offer while-you-wait appointments throughout the day and, last but not least, increased parking makes it quicker and easier for customers to drop off and collect their cars.
“We’re really lucky to have moved into a workshop that is packed full of all the latest equipment. It’s great news for our dedicated and professional team of technicians who between them have over 100 years of experience and know the Nissan range of vehicles inside and out.”
Westover’s investment in Nissan secures the Bournemouth showroom’s future as an efficient and market-leading site. The investment has also brought some local job opportunities – three additional technicians have already been recruited (bringing the total number of technicians in the dealership to 16) and other positions will become available in due course. Westover Nissan in Bournemouth fitted 800 new tyres and serviced more than 6,000 cars in 2017. The team sells around 1,200 new and over 1,000 approved used cars each year, meaning it is continuously one of the top performing Nissan dealerships in the country.
