The Kia Niro combines a hybrid system that can switch between petrol and electric power, or uses a combination of both and will charge the battery whenever it can. The Niro features bi-functional lamps which give a high-tech first impression by projecting a high beam and low beam from a single light source. The high-tech functions extend to the radar sensor located behind the grille which measures the distance to the vehicle ahead, and automatically maintains a safe distance by controlling speed. While the hybrid utility vehicle specified cluster displays environmentally friendly information to help you go further.
The Kia Niro is new from the chassis up and it looks exciting, thanks to modern, sharp lines. Kia’s signature Tiger-Nose grille sits up front alongside bi-functional lights. Even when all the seats are taken, the Niro can carry up to 427 litres of cargo. More than enough space for road trips, shopping trips and sporting events, and still have room for family and friends.
All the technology you need is on board the Kia Niro. It has advanced smart cruise control, lane keep assist (essentially another pair of eyes to make sure you don’t drift into other traffic lanes), an eight inch navigation screen bringing Kia‘s Connected Services to the cockpit (powered by TomTom and Android Auto™), wireless mobile phone charging to make sure you stay connected, reversing camera system, rear parking sensors and a 4.2" Supervision Cluster with TFT Colour Display.
The Niro’s hybrid engine means the car has low emissions and great fuel economy. It comes with a 1.6-litre four cylinder petrol engine combined with a 32kW electric motor. It also has a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive with 139bhp.
