How does the KIA Motability Scheme work?

It is easy and affordable to get on the road in a stylish Kia vehicle through the Motability Scheme. If you are eligible for the scheme, you simply exchange your mobility allowance or supplement for a brand new Kia vehicle. The lease also includes breakdown cover, road tax, insurance and aftersales servicing free of charge at your closest Westover Kia service centre.

You are eligible for the Motability Scheme if you have at least 12 months of payments remaining on one of the following:

  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA);
  • Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP);
  • War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS); or
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

At our dealerships in Salisbury and Ferndown we have specialist Motability advisers who can discuss your requirements and help you find the ideal Kia vehicle for your needs. The same person will be on hand throughout the process to answer your questions, from confirming eligibility to taking delivery of your brand new Kia.

We are happy to arrange any adaptations that your car needs. However, it is not compulsory and only eight percent of cars leased through the Motability Scheme are modified. It is also not necessary to choose an automatic model, and just 20 percent of Motability vehicles are sold with an automatic gearbox. Your breakdown cover will be provided by the RAC who give first priority to calls from Motability customers, so you can get back on the road even faster.

You can get in touch with a specialist Motability adviser by making an enquiry at your nearest dealership. Complete the contact form on our website or phone us in Salisbury or Ferndown.
