'Wimbornedon' with Westover Fiat in Wimborne Square

Westover Fiat is supporting Wimbornedon, Wimborne's answer to the All England Lawn Tennis Club's annual festival of tennis, currently being held in Wimbledon, south west London.

The town is hosting its very own alternative in Wimborne Square, bringing a taste of the action to Wimborne Minster. Until Sunday 10 July, the picturesque market town has become a family friendly tennis zone with big TV screens showing all the action live from the tennis tournament.

There are plenty of refreshments available, just as there are at the real thing - jugs of Pimms, bottles of Presecco, strawberries and cream, as well as cream teas.

Taking part in the fun, Westover Group are supporting the event. Westover Fiat have taken a Fiat 500 to the Square, filled it with tennis balls and asked visitors to guess how many balls are on board. The lucky winner can drive the car away for a weekend.

Ian Faulkner, Chairman of the Wimborne BID said: “It is great to see businesses in Wimborne working hard to bring people into town with innovative ideas like Wimbornedon. It’s great that visitors will be able to enjoy the activities on The Square and take the opportunity to discover more of what Wimborne has to offer.”

So, if you haven’t managed to get tickets for the Wimbledon Championships, pop down to Wimborne Square!
