Local Dealership Supports the Stage at Corfe Mullen Carnival

Local car dealership, Westover Dacia, are pleased to be supporting Corfe Mullen’s annual Carnival this year. The event takes place on Saturday 11th June at the Corfe Mullen Recreation Ground.

Westover Dacia are sponsoring the Carnival’s new stage on which all the main events will take place, including performances from local youth and community groups.

Near the stage, Westover will be showcasing four vehicles from the current ‘shockingly affordable’ Dacia range, including the Duster, Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan. Not only is each one excellent value for money but there’s also a model for every need, whether that means an SUV, a 4x4, a sizeable family car or a city centre nip-around.

More than 4,000 people now attend the Carnival each year helping to generate thousands of pounds for local charities. This year – the event’s 50th year – all funds will be donated to Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, located in Corfe Mullen.

Julia’s House is a children’s hospice, providing care and support for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Covering Dorset and South Wiltshire, Julia’s House cares for around 100 children and babies, who visit the hospice for day care sessions and overnight stays. Young people can also receive support in their own homes from the charity’s Community Team.

“We’re really pleased to be on board again for this year’s Carnival,” says Mat Carrington, Brand Manager at Westover Dacia. “Westover have had a showroom in the village since 1991 and, whilst our history here isn’t as old as the Carnival itself, we have a long heritage in Corfe Mullen and we have a loyal band of local supporters. Our teams have participated in the Carnival in various ways over the years, notably joining in the parade one year as a wheelbarrow-pushing flying squad, the Red Barrows!

“We would like to wish the organising team every success and all the event’s visitors plenty of fun, plus we’re keeping our fingers firmly crossed for some sunshine on the day itself.”
