New Abarth 595 Competizione front view

The new Abarth 595 Competizione

If you have a need-for-speed then this one’s for you. On sale now at Westover Abarth in Poole, Dorset this fun, fast and furious motor is begging to be taken for a spin. The new Abarth 595 Competizione is pure unadulterated performance.

Numbers never lie and the Competizione’s figures speak volumes. Offering an impressive 160bhp this race-inspired motor shoots from 0-62mph in just 7.4 seconds, hitting a top speed of 127mph. The five-speed manual transmission complements its extreme power and, coupled with the ‘Record Monza’ dual mode exhaust, enables a smooth delivery of 4,000rpm. This is just the beginning; this pure sport machine is engineered to the highest standard with sports suspension, koni dampers and a ventilated braking system.

Not only does the specially designed exhaust give power and look the business, it sounds the part too. A mechanically controlled valve controls the exhausts compression curve opening up at greater speeds meaning more engine reaction and growling vibrations.

The exterior styling speaks solely of sport with striking 17-inch alloy wheels, metallic bodywork, cool tinted rear windows and an optional Abarth racing side stripe. The devil’s in the detail; choose between red or yellow brake callipers to maximise the racing feel.

The ode to the track does not stop here. The interior style has true racing finesse. Abarth Corsa by Sabelt seating allows for added control and comfort whilst you focus on the power. The special ergonomic design wraps around the driver for safety.

You can choose from soft fabric or plush leather to customise your vehicle. Steering wheel mounted paddles, aluminium racing pedals and Abarth kick plates all combine to create a truly unique interior.

The new Abarth Competizione also has a range of optional accessories and extras so you can build up individual style. The Essessee tuning kit compatible with the 500 and 500C has aggressive style true Abarth form. The new Competizione’s catch line ‘I’m Bad, I’m Drawn that way’ can be highlighted via the addition of the Abarth scorpion pin. It certainly has a sting in its tail. The Abarth special kit comprises of extra lightweight parts including sill plate and pedal unit all in satinised aluminium for true racing style.
