Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive forms the perfect partnership, switching between petrol or electric power and combining both for maximum efficiency while minimising fuel consumption and helping to improve air quality. When the petrol engine is running Toyota's hybrid cars emit anything from 70g of CO2 per km, which is an amazingly low statistic for a family car.
Behind the wheel of our hybrid cars you can be assured of some of the lowest CO2 emissions in their classes, in fact, when driving in EV-mode (Electric Vehicle mode), it can go from 0-50 km/h without producing any emissions whatsoever – you'd find more CO2 in a spent balloon. Unlike diesel cars, Hybrids also produce very low levels of harmful nitrogen oxides.
With a Hybrid there is no need to worry about how far you're travelling, just fill up with petrol like any conventional car. When the battery begins to run low, excess power from the engine charges it back up again. No energy is wasted, whenever you apply the brake or whilst cruising energy is recycled to recharge the battery.
