Air conditioning

Standard on Elegance trim and above is a 3.5mm aux in socket. This allows the playing of MP3 players through the radio, but with control remaining through the MP3 player. The optional MDI unit is a step forward in in-car multimedia. This allows you to play and control your MP3 music files through the radio.
   Get great acceleration, performance and fuel economy with the Octavia’s DSG gearbox. Previously available only on diesel engines, the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) is now available on both diesel and petrol engines. Operating in fully automated or manual tiptronic, the DSG uses the very latest technology to ensure that comfortable gear shifting is achieved with excellent performance, fuel economy and of course acceleration.   Stay cool in the new Octavia with standard air conditioning. Available as manual and dual zone, air conditioning offers great advantages over standard ventilation, keeping your car cool during the summer months. Surprisingly, it also becomes an effective tool in winter, demisting the windows faster than standard ventilation. Not to mention the positive effect that air conditioning has on the value of your car when you come to change it.
