Tickets can now be ordered for the return to Silverstone later this year of the hugely popular World Series by Renault – a spectacular feast of motor racing and all-action automotive entertainment for all the family.
Race Six of the thrilling pan-European series will take place at the legendary Northamptonshire circuit on September 5th and 6th with thousands of motorsport fans expected to attend and to create an electrifying carnival atmosphere.
The last time a stage of the all-Renault series was held there in 2010, a staggering 125,000 people attended, confirming WSR's status as the UK's second largest motorsport event behind the British Grand Prix.
This year, as ever, thrilling motor racing will be at the very heart of the event with a packed programme of Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and the UK debut of the new 550hp Renaultsport R.S 01 in the Renaultsport Trophy series.
On track activity will be completed by the Renaultsport stunt show and Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Show demonstration runs with the Red Bull Racing RB8.
The Formula Renault 3.5 series – now celebrating its tenth anniversary – is seen as a breeding ground for exceptional Formula One talent; over the years Sebastian Vettel, Jaime Alguersuari, Daniel Ricciardo, Jean-Eric Vergne, Jules Bianchi, Carlos Sainz and Robert Kubica have all made the switch directly from Formula Renault 3.5 to F1.
But despite the obvious emphasis on motor racing action, the event offers a unique and engaging interactive experience.
The paddock area, for example, will be open to all throughout the weekend, giving visitors a VIP-style behind the scenes view and allowing them to get up close and personal with all of the competing vehicles. They can try their hand at the famous Pitstop Challenge and the F1 and Mégane Trophy simulators.
Meanwhile, the Renault Village will showcase the models in the Renault range – including the soon-to-be-launched All-New Kadjar crossover – with dozens of fun challenges to take part in.
There will be plenty of fun for little visitors too, with bouncy castles set up in a recreational area and collectible cards featuring characters inspired by WSR cars will be handed out.
Day tickets are priced £10 per adult (15 years +), £5 per child (10-15 years old) while weekend passes (Saturday and Sunday) are priced £15 per adult, £8 per child. Entry for children under 10 is free of charge.
'Early birds' booking their tickets before July 15 can enjoy a further discount - £8 per adult and £4 per child for day passes and £15 per adult and £8 per child for weekend passes.
