Renault engineers have drawn on all the experience acquired by Renaultsport at racetracks across the world to squeeze this performance out of a-2.0 litre turbo engine. The reprofiled F1 style front blade fitted with ultra-modern LED daytime running lights – gives the exterior an aggressive and sporty appearance. The two litre 16-valve turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Mégane Renaultsport 265 boasts maximum power of 265hp and peak torque of 360Nm. Selecting the 'Sport Mode' releases the full 265hp, the default setting produces 250hp for improved fuel economy.

Mégane Renaultsport is available with a choice of two chassis:

•A standard chassis which delivers the ideal trade-off between sports performance and comfort in everyday use

•The high performance and focused Cup chassis has a number of features to give the ultimate driving experience. The mechanical limited slip differential ensures that all 265 horses are transmitted to the road, whilst the stiffer springs, dampers and anti-roll bars take the handling to a whole new level. It also features grooved brake discs, red brake callipers and the stunning new 18" matt black 'Tibor' alloy wheels shod with 235/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres

Renaultsport Dynamic Management: enables one of three modes for the ESC to be selected - 'On' the default mode, 'Sport' for less intrusive ESC action and the full 265hp and 'Off' (complete disengagement).

With a Limited-slip differential (LSD) ensuring optimum traction at all times, regardless of grip, driving style or the type of corner. This combined with the PerfoHub independent steering-axis front suspension minimises the effects of torque steer and allows the driver to benefit fully from the extra traction for a more reassuring drive.
