Peugeot Blue Lion Eco Range

For many years at Peugeot, we've been following a voluntary code of practice aimed at protecting the environment. Now as part of this commitment to future generations, we've launched the Blue Lion standard, which highlights the environmental qualities of the Peugeot range.

Our Blue Lion standard is awarded only to Peugeot vehicles that do most to safeguard the environment. It specifically draws attention to our ongoing efforts to reduce CO2 emissions through innovation and technological development.

Blue Lion ststus is awarded only to cars that satisfy the following criteria:

Reduced emissions - All Blue Lion cars must produce CO2 emissions less than or equal to 130g/km. And we're aiming to make this figure even lower as technologies improve. This will not only reduce fuel costs for you, but also reduce air pollution and CO2 emissions for the environment.

Right now, Peugeot offers the widest range of low CO2 emission vehicles - and that's official*

Reduced waste - At least 95% of every Peugeot can be recycled. We also take every car's entire lifetime environmental impact into consideration, which is why all Blue Lion vehicles are built in factories compliant with the ISO 14001 environmental management standard.

Reduced costs - As well as lower CO2 emissions, Blue Lion vehicles are also among the cheapest to run. Thanks to advances in engine design, our vehicles offer increased miles per gallon capabilities and lower vehicle excise duty.

Our 308 HDi 110 FAP has secured a place in the 2009 Guinness Book of Records. Driven 9,000 miles around the coast of Australia, it achieved an unprecedented 1,192 miles on just 60 litres of diesel fuel...and an average fuel consumption of 90.75 miles per gallon.
