The functional design of the model includes a split tailgate with three-level boot floor, specialist mud and snow tyres, and a reinforced structure. The cockpit is also ergonomically designed for the driver’s benefit, with reclining front seats, leather-covered steering wheel and a fully adjustable steering column. In the back, passengers get an armrest with hidden storage between their split folding bench, which creates between 512 and 1,604 litres of boot space.

Two petrol and two diesel engines comprise the choices for the new 3008. Dependent on the engine, drivers will benefit from up to 163bhp and 67.3mpg combined, and can make smooth shifts with either a five-speed or six-speed gearbox. All diesel versions use a Diesel Particulate Filter to lower emissions, and certain engines add Dynamic Roll Control to the vehicle.

Several of Peugeot’s most advanced and protective safety features are included with the standard version of the crossover. Six SMART airbags encircle the cabin for protection from all angles, and the ISOFIX child seat attachments in the second row keep younger passengers in place. On the road, electronic braking systems and Hill Start Assist capably support the driver.
