Westover Nissan on Wallisdown Road in Bournemouth has opened the doors on its brand-new Service Workshop. Up to 50 services, MOTs and vehicle maintenance appointments will be carried out six days a week (Monday to Saturday) in the new facility, which contains the very latest diagnostic equipment.
Located at the rear of Westover Nissan’s existing showroom on an adjacent plot of land, the new workshop has been created on the site of a previous building. It brings extended facilities to Westover Nissan’s customers, as well as significantly more parking spaces.
Constructing a larger workshop means that Westover Nissan’s technicians can now work on 19 cars at a time (seven more than was possible in the old facility), all in specifically designed and equipped bays.
Three additional technicians have been recruited to work in the new service centre, bringing the total number of Nissan technicians to 16. There are two Master Technicians and two apprentices on the team.
Pete Short, Westover Nissan’s Aftersales Manager said: “Our new service workshop brings huge benefits for our customers. There are many more appointments available, so people have more choice about when they book their car in and shorter booking lead times. We now also offer while-you-wait appointments throughout the day, plus more parking spaces make it quicker and easier for customers to drop off and collect their cars.
“We’re really lucky to have moved into a workshop that is packed full of all the latest equipment. It’s great news for our dedicated and professional team of technicians who between them have over 100 years of experience and know the Nissan range of vehicles inside and out.”
The new workshop incorporates two dedicated MOT test bays, meaning that Westover Nissan’s skilled technicians can test up to 20 cars a day. There is also a larger bay, allowing the team the facility to conduct Class 7 MOTs on light commercial vehicles like the Nissan Cabstar.
Westover Nissan in Bournemouth fitted 800 new tyres and serviced more than 6,000 cars in 2017, and continues to offer an expansive range of other services.
