One member of Knighton Heath Golf Club had a very unlucky miss when he nearly scored a hole in one at the Westover Captain's Golf Day;
Westover Nissan and Toyota - sponsors of the Knighton Heath Westover Captain's Day 2016 - offered a Nissan Micra worth £10,000 to anyone who managed to hit a hole in one on the day. Nobody did - one player clipped the hole on the 18th tee though but sadly the ball bounced out again. A very near miss!
Westover offered other prizes to the day's golfers. The player who hit nearest the pin on the 3rd and 14th holes won a protective Supagard valet worth £299 and whoever was closest to a white line marked on the course on the 10th hole won a £100 voucher to spend in the Club's pro shop.
In addition, anybody playing benefitted from a voucher, giving them £300 off a car if they purchase before the end of September.
Westover Nissan and Toyota displayed a range of cars at the event, inlucding the stunning RAV4 and Nissan Juke, both practical but stylish family SUVs with plenty of room for golf clubs in the boot.
Reunert Bauser, General Manager at Knighton Heath said: "Thanks to all those concerned at Westover Nissan for their support, it is much appreciated by all at the Club. The prizes were fantastic and the weather good and hot. The players generally agreed that it was one of the best events we've held here."
