Nissan Announces Details of New LEAF

Nissan has announced more details about the next generation of the world’s best-selling electric vehicle.

Westover Nissan will start delivering the first of its new LEAFs in February 2018. Prices start at just £21,990 (including £4,500 Government Grant),

The all-new Nissan LEAF offers a significant update over the previous model with dynamic new styling, advanced technologies – including ProPILOT – and a higher capacity battery.

On top of these improvements, there’s a 50% increase in range to 235 miles (NEDC) and a 38 per cent increase in power to 150PS compared to the outgoing model, yet the OTR price is up to £1,500 lower than previous generation.

Carl Bayliss, EV Category Manager at Nissan said; "With the New Nissan LEAF, all-electric motoring has never been more viable or affordable for almost any motorist. EV running costs are around 85 per cent less than petrol or diesel cars and maintenance is almost 75 per cent cheaper. There’s £0 VED, free London Congestion Charge and even free parking in some cities, not to mention convenient home charging. It’s not surprising unprecedented numbers of drivers are making the switch and going electric."

Westover Nissan customers looking to be one of the first owners of the all-new Nissan LEAF, can now benefit from a competitive contract purchase on the exclusive 2.ZERO special version.

With a £5,138 customer deposit, combined with £1,000 deposit contribution from Westover, monthly payments are just £339 on a three year/10,000 annual mileage PCP with 4.49% APR.

Limited to just 1,500 models, the New LEAF 2.ZERO special version is positioned between N-Connecta and the range-topping Tekna grade, and is available in two colours: Spring Cloud and Pearl Black.

The New LEAF is also the first Nissan model in Europe to be equipped with Nissan’s autonomous ProPILOT technology and e-Pedal, which allows drivers to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop – simply by increasing or decreasing the pressure applied to the accelerator.
