Disabled drivers across Dorset and Hampshire are invited to visit Westover Nissan in Bournemouth on Sunday 25th September to find out more about Motability, the charity which helps disabled people and their families to get mobile. The Motability Scheme allows anyone eligible for the DLA Higher Rate or PIP Enhanced Rate element of the Government mobility allowance to exchange it for a new car, including a whole range of vehicles in Westover Nissan’s current line-up.
The Wallisdown Road showroom is hosting an informal Autumn Motability Open Day to raise awareness of the benefits of the Motability Scheme. The knowledgeable on-site team - lead by three-times Motability award-winner, Nicola Marriott - will be on hand to offer any help visitors may need, including answering questions about eligibility, adaptations and the suitability of particular cars.
The event, which takes place between 10.30am and 4.00pm on Sunday 25th September, is open to all. Any Motability customers who attend will receive a complimentary £10 M&S voucher as a thank you.
“This is a great chance for our repeat Motability customers (of which there are 540) to get together and check out our latest models in a relaxed environment,” says Nicola. “It also gives us an opportunity to thank our regulars for their continued support and to welcome some new faces to the showroom too. We’ve been running events like this for nine years now and we always have a really strong turnout in the showroom - I think word has spread that we’re passionate about what we do and eager to get things right for our Motability customers come what may.
All the cars currently available from Nissan on the Motability Scheme will be on show and many are available simply by ‘swapping’ the mobility allowance for the car – at no extra cost. Even the costs for insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover are included, so with many models there’s simply the forecourt fuel charges to pay. It’s an affordable, worry-free way to lease a brand new car.
Motability, the UK’s leading car scheme for disabled people, allows people eligible for the Government funded mobility allowance to exchange it for a new vehicle. Motability cars are available on a fixed or variable-term contract-hire lease, which includes insurance, tax, routine servicing and breakdown assistance. Vehicles are serviced annually and changed every three years.
Nissan vehicles currently available at no advance payment to eligible Motability customers include the Micra, Note, Juke, Pulsar and Qashqai – all practical, stylish and spacious cars which deliver Nissan’s trademark reliability.
Westover Nissan’s Motability Charter gives customers access to VIP treatment, including home sales appointments, a phone-ahead ‘meet-and-greet’ service, vehicle collection and delivery, while-you-wait appointments and six free car washes a year (subject to booking).
