HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Nissan Tracking System is fitted covertly to your 370Z and comes supplied with 2 Driver cards.
Nissan Tracking System is an automatic system that recognises you as the authorised driver. you need to carry one of the cards with you every time you drive your vehicle. if you switch on the ignition of your 370Z without the card present, Cobra's secure operating Centre will receive a alert and will contact you to check whether your vehicle has been stolen.
It is vital that you do not leave the Driver Card inside the vehicle or with the keyring. it should be kept in a safe place and always separately from your car keys.
FUNCTIONALITY
As well as being able to automatically recognise an authorised driver via the Driver Card, the system also triggers an automatic alert when the following happens:
- The vehicle is lifted or towed without the Driver Card present.
- The wires to the tracking system have been cut or the vehicle battery has been disconnected.
You can of course also call the Secure Operating Centre at any time to report a theft, such as theft of the vehicle where both the keys and Driver Card have been taken.
Additional features of the system include Ignition Lock, which Cobra can activate with police authorisation to immobilise the vehicle by preventing the engine from being re-started. The system also performs a regular automatic System Health Check, and an internal battery allows the system to function in the event of a power loss.
