Jaguar Sportbrake Previews at Westover

Westover Jaguar in Poole gave locals a taste of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake ahead of its UK showroom launch in November.

Visitors to the preview event, which took place at Westover’s West Quay Road showroom and was open to all, were amongst the first in the UK to get a sneak preview of Jaguar’s new estate car.

The Sportbrake combines the versatility of an estate car with the spirit of a sports car and has been billed as “impossibly appealing” by Top Gear. Orders are already being taken and a demonstrator model will be available for test drive at Westover Jaguar from mid-November.

“This is only Jaguar’s second estate car but it’s a real winner and one that will issue a genuine challenge to its German rivals,” says Neal Clark at Westover Jaguar. “It’s a really versatile car which comes with all the luxury features and handling characteristics expected of a Jaguar, combined with plenty of space and a cleverly designed, cavernous boot. We had a really steady stream of people visiting us to see the Sportbrake in the flesh and it received a fantastic reception here in Poole.”

Prices for the Jaguar Sportbrake start at £31,940 for the entry-level 161 bhp 2.2 litre diesel model. There’s also a 197 bhp variant, with both delivering average fuel economy of 55.4mpg and emissions of 135g/km. There are also two turbo-charged 3.0 litre V6 diesel engines available, with the higher powered version achieving 0-60 mph in just 6.1 seconds. All models have an eight speed automatic gear box and the choice of five trim levels.
