Westover Jaguar Land Rover's New £7.5m Service Centre Opens in Christchurch

A stunning new Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) service centre has opened on Bailey Drive in Christchurch, Dorset, following a £7.5 million first phase investment in the brands by local motoring company, the Westover Group.

The workshop – which will carry out service, MOT and general maintenance work on both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles – has 29 vehicle bays, including two for electric vehicles.

It is the largest JLR aftersales facility in the UK (other than Jaguar Land Rover’s own operation in Coventry) and has been purpose-built on a stand-alone, three-acre plot just a few metres from Westover’s Land Rover showroom on Bailey Drive in Christchurch.

Fully equipped with five-star staff facilities and the very latest equipment, the facility’s compound area has 172 dedicated customer spaces.

Peter Walker, Operational Director at Westover Group, has masterminded the project. “We’re making a significant investment in both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in Dorset and we’re really proud that phase one of our £12 million redevelopment project for the brands is now complete,” says Peter.

“We have a spectacular workshop that future-proofs our facilities and puts us way ahead of the competition in terms of the level and efficiency of service we can offer our customers.

“Our technicians were almost speechless when they first saw the finished workshop! We hope all our visitors will be equally impressed.

Capacity has increased by 100 per cent over the previous sites, so it's created a number of key technician and aftersales roles in the area, too.

The next stage of Westover’s investment in its Jaguar Land Rover business will see a brand-new, joint-branded showroom created on the site of the old Land Rover dealership. Work is already underway and is due for completion in early 2019. A temporary showroom has been created just a few metres away and is clearly signposted.
