Westover and Other Local Firms Back Macmillan Charity Ride

Three local companies have joined forces this year to get behind the 29th Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride. Westover Group, Sunseeker International, and Primera Sports are giving the event one more push for riders before the closing date approaches.

Westover Group has been promoting the ride in its show rooms and at its recent Motor Showcase event, Sunseeker is encouraging all of its employees to sign up in the coming days, and Primera is offering discounts to all of its customers who sign up for the ride.

In a bid to raise as much as possible this year’s event will offer all six circular courses of 10, 25, 38, 48, 60 and 100 miles. The courses suit all cycling abilities, form the quiet lanes and cycle paths to the more challenging Dorset countryside.

“We’re delighted to be able to provide some additional support to the Dorset Macmillan team and to work with all the other supporters. It looks like 2017 is going to be a great year for registrations and fundraising alike, but there is still time to register,” says Mark Whittam, Head of Marketing at Westover Group.

Ride Organiser Peter Smith-Nicholls, said, “We greatly appreciate the support of all our sponsors, without them we could not raise the fantastic sums of money we do for Macmillan.”
