Steve Stark Takes on Finance Role at Westover's Prestige Showrooms

After more than a decade in the motor industry and with four successful years at Westover Jaguar in Poole under his belt, Steve Stark has taken on a new role as Business Manager. He now has responsibility for providing finance and insurance products across the Westover Group’s three prestige showrooms on West Quay Road - Westover Jaguar, Westover Sportscars and Lexus Poole,

Steve recently completed an intensive training course and will also undergo an annual assessment by the FSA, the independent body which regulates the financial services industry.

“I’m relishing my new role,” says Steve. “It’s been a steep learning curve and helping people to make the right financial choice brings a huge amount of responsibility, but it’s also extremely rewarding. Our priority is always to make sure customers get the best deal for their particular circumstances and achieving that is very gratifying.

“Arranging finance on a vehicle used to be a time-consuming and unwieldy affair. Now it’s incredibly straightforward, often taking only a couple of hours, and something that around 80 per cent of customers choose to do. Our clients are smart people, who often opt to hang on to their money and let it earn interest, rather than pay cash for their vehicle. Personal Contract Purchases (PCPs) have become our most popular option because they offer some protection from depreciation – having made fixed monthly payments for an agreed period of time, the customer can opt to hand the car back at the end of the contract term if they wish to do so. There are so many options available in today’s market and it’s all about personal choice. Basically, there’s something to suit every purse – it’s just a question of finding it and that’s where our expertise comes to the fore.”
