Westover Brings Peugeot Back to Salisbury
1 February 2012
The Westover Group has opened a manufacturer-approved Peugeot workshop in Salisbury, ahead of the launch of its new Peugeot dealership in the city in spring 2012.
The new facility – the only genuine Peugeot workshop now operating in the Salisbury area – is located alongside the Westover Nissan and Westover Toyota dealerships on Brunel Road, Churchfields Industrial Estate. Westover Peugeot’s dedicated servicing bays are fully equipped with Peugeot diagnostic equipment and manned by dedicated Peugeot technicians.
Westover Peugeot also operates an accident repair centre (where bumps and scratches, as well as more substantial dents, can be repaired) and sells genuine Peugeot parts and spares.
A number of new and used Peugeot vehicles are already on display and the volume of cars for sale will gradually build until the showroom is fully operational in March. Meanwhile, anyone who’s interested in trying out a new Peugeot model can arrange a test drive in Salisbury by contacting Westover Peugeot’s service reception. With two other Peugeot dealerships already operating within the Westover Group – one in Poole and the other in Christchurch – Westover has a well-established Peugeot network and can bring demonstrator vehicles to Salisbury while building work is completed.
Paul Griffiths, Westover Peugeot brand manager, said: “While we wait for our purpose-built dealership to open, we’re delighted to be able to provide local Peugeot drivers with a workshop where they can get their cars serviced or repaired. Many people have expressed concern following the closure of other Peugeot dealerships in the region and they can now rest assured that there is a fully equipped and professionally trained team here in Salisbury, ready to look after their cars and ensure they are correctly and safely maintained.”
Offering a warm welcome at Westover Peugeot is Emma Hartland, who has been appointed as service receptionist. Emma previously spent more than five years working with Southgate Peugeot in Andover. Mark Christopher is service manager at Westover’s Brunel Road dealerships, overseeing Westover Nissan, Peugeot and Toyota servicing.
Master Technician, Matt Short, is heading up the Peugeot workshop team. He’s been with Westover for eight years but has been a master technician for nearly two decades, having first joined the motoring industry as a Renault apprentice straight from school. Matt lives locally and attended Stonehenge School.
Assisting Matt is Sam Jeanne, who is in the final weeks of his three year apprenticeship and is now undergoing Peugeot’s own rigorous training programme for qualified vehicle technicians. Ryan King supervises the provision of parts for Westover Peugeot and completes the Peugeot Salisbury team.
Paul Griffiths added: “With two Peugeot dealerships already in the Group, Westover will be uniting its own in-house expertise with the skills of its new team members, allowing us to provide the best possible customer experience. We’re really proud to be bringing the Peugeot brand back to Salisbury.”
The Peugeot range includes old favourites, like the 207 and 308, as well as new models such as the 100 per cent electric Peugeot iOn and the ground-breaking 3008 Hybrid4, the world's first full diesel-electric hybrid.
