Stuart Hall and Aaron Long Clock Up Two Decades at Westover Land Rover
5 October 2011
Stuart Hall and Aaron Long - long-term sales executives at Westover Land Rover in Christchurch - have both recently marked a significant milestone in their careers with Westover, clocking up a decade each at the dealership.
With twenty years’ experience between them (and a combined age of 76) things have changed enormously since Stuart and Aaron first started at Westover Land Rover. However some things have remained constant and both report that the best-selling vehicle back in 2001 was the Freelander – as it still was in 2010, when the Freelander 2 claimed the showroom’s number one slot.
Both have proved their metal over the years and regularly feature at the top of Land Rover’s league-table of sales specialists, consistently claiming their places amongst the manufacturer’s 50 top-performing executives (out of 700 across the UK).
“Land Rover is an innovative company and so there have been lots of new models in the last ten years,” says Aaron. “We’ve seen the launch of the Land Rover Discovery 3 and 4, as well as the Range Rover Sport and, most recently, the stunning Range Rover Evoque - which has smashed all records and looks set to become the most popular model of 2011, with pre-orders and early sales higher than for any other new vehicle we’ve launched.
“The dealership itself has also seen some changes, with two refurbishments, as well as the addition of Westover Land Rover in Salisbury to the Group’s portfolio in 2004,” adds Stuart. “There have been some staff changes too, but the core team remains the same and it’s still a great place to work – which is why we’ve both been here for so long!”
Paul Dillon, Westover Group Operations Director comments: “Stuart and Aaron make a dynamic duo – they are friendly rivals and their banter brings a really vibrant atmosphere to the showroom. We really appreciate all their hard work over the last ten years and hope to have the pleasure of another decade in their company.”
