Westover Toyota Welcomes Oliver Thurston Back
19 September 2011
Westover Toyota has welcomed Oliver Thurston back to the fold after a three year absence. Oliver, who left Westover Toyota as a sales executive returns to his roots as the showroom’s new sales manager.
He has been working for a local prestige motor dealer in the meantime, but was tempted back to the Westover Group by the career opportunities open to him and the continuing strength of the Toyota brand.
“We’re delighted to have Oliver back on board,” says Mike Boyd, Westover Group Director. “He was a really positive presence in the showroom when he was last with us and I’m confident he’ll put his energy and experience to good use in his new role.
“We think there are about 500 cars still driving around the region that were purchased from Oliver, so there’s no doubt that many of our customers will recognise his face! We wish him the very best of luck with this second stage of his career with Westover.”
Oliver – who was born in Salisbury and attended Harnham School - replaces Adam Johnson, who has left to join his family in New Zealand after seven years at the dealership’s helm.
“I was with Westover Toyota for five years and I’ve really missed it,” says Oliver. “So when I was approached about coming back I snapped up the opportunity. There have been changes to the showroom and forecourt but I’m working with many of the same people as I was before and it definitely feels good to be back.
“Best of all, I have a genuine enthusiasm for both the Toyota and Westover brands and that makes my job a whole lot easier. Toyota is one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world and it’s also the most reliable, so we’re selling great cars that don’t let their owners down. Westover aims to deliver the highest customer care standards around and, with a long-standing and dedicated team in place, I know I have the support needed to deliver the best possible service.”
