Chill Out and Get Your Air Con Serviced for Just £49

Your car’s air conditioning system has probably been working overtime during the summer holidays but chances are you’ve never given a second thought to getting it serviced.
“Most drivers overlook their air con system until it stops working – and that’s normally on the hottest day of the year!” says Lee Tuxford, After Sales Manager for Westover Toyota. “But it doesn’t take much to keep it working in tip top condition – just a little regular TLC. People tend to use their air conditioning all year round – to cool down in the summer and to prevent the windscreen steaming up during the winter months. But air conditioning units harbour germs if they are not correctly maintained and can cause poor health or allergic reactions. Unusual or unpleasant odours – bad enough themselves - are a sign that the system needs attention.”
Westover Toyota recommends that air con systems are serviced every 24 months to ensure the system continues to work properly. Regular checks will also increase its lifespan and cut eliminate any on-board smells that may be the result of leaking chemicals.
Westover Toyota is offering an air conditioning service for a reduced price of £49 until the end of September. Factory-trained technicians will replace the old refrigerant, dry out the air conditioning system and check for leaks. They will also carry out a temperature test and add anti-bacterial foam to the ventilation system to get rid of any unwanted smells.
Last year, the Westover Group became one of the first dealer groups in the country to equip its technicians with a newly required City and Guilds qualification, following recent legislation regarding the servicing of car air conditioning systems.
