Westover Renault Poole Awarded RenaultSport Specialist Status
Westover Renault in Poole has been awarded Renaultsport Specialist status. The showroom joins an elite group of just 25 Renault dealerships, handpicked from across the UK to act as ambassadors for the Renaultsport range and equipped with the expert knowledge and skills required to sell and service Renaultsport vehicles.
The nominated dealership expert – Robert Wilkes, Renaultsport Sales Specialist – was put through his paces, proving his vehicle know-how in a series of knowledge tests covering the entire Renaultsport range of today and of yesteryear, a heritage spanning decades. Robert has subsequently received dedicated training to ensure he is able to deal with the particular requirements of Renaultsport customers and has also spent a day at Silverstone to gain a greater understanding of how to handle Renaultsport’s mighty hot-hatches on the track.
As a Renaultsport Specialist, Westover Renault in Poole will be able to offer customers exclusive track day tickets at racing circuits across Europe, as well as access to other events and competitions.
Testament to the high quality and value-for-money offered by Renaultsport vehicles, the brand scooped a hat-trick of awards in the What Car? Car of the Year 2011 Hot Hatch categories, taking the top prizes across all price ranges for its Twingo Renaultsport, Clio Renaultsport and Megane Renaultsport models.
"We expect to see an increase in enquiry levels in the dealership thanks to our new Renaultsport Specialist status - we’re the only specialist showroom in the area and these models have a die-hard following from hot-hatch enthusiasts," says Chris Swain, Westover Renault’s Brand Manager. Each of the three Renaultsport models is now available at Westover Renault on Wallisdown Road for test drives.
