And They're Off ... Salisbury Racecourse Officials Under Starter's Orders with Westover

-Westover Nissan and Westover Toyota Supply Cars for Course Starter and Doctor for 10th Year Running

-Westover Lexus joins the Racecourse line-up for 2016

The course officials at Salisbury Racecourse are being powered not by horses but by Westover again this year.

The racecourse’s starter and doctor will be keeping a watchful eye on proceedings on the 16 race days that make up the 2016 season, thanks to support from Westover Nissan and Toyota. It will be the 10th consecutive year that the two Salisbury showrooms have provided cars for the course officials. They are joined for the first time this year by Lexus Poole, another of the 16 brands within Westover’s stable.

Westover will supply two 4x4 vehicles throughout the season, which kicked off on Sunday 1st May and runs through until Monday 10th October.

Race-goers will see a range of models - including the Toyota RAV4, Land Cruiser and Hilux; the Nissan Juke, Qashqai, X-Trail and Navara; and the Lexus RX and NX, both with sophisticated yet powerful hybrid engines - in action around the course.

“We are delighted to have a local thoroughbred like Westover on parade once again this year,” says Jeremy Martin, Executive Director and Clerk of the Course. “It’s imperative that our course officials have well maintained, reliable and spacious vehicles to allow them to move around the course as needed and to make sure they can attend any incidents – which thankfully are few and far between – as quickly and efficiently as possible.

“It’s great to have the Nissan and Toyota vehicles back with us again and we’re looking forward to seeing the luxurious Lexus models in action too. Big thanks to the teams at Westover!”
