Westover Sponsored Parley Under 13s Cricket Team Fifth Best in UK

The Parley U13s flew through to the national finals after winning the South West Regionals at Salisbury and South Wilts Cricket Club.

In their semi final match, Parley U13s faced Devon team, Bovey Tracey.

Parley bowled excellently and delivered a sensible batting performance to take the game.

In the next match - the regional final - on a slow scoring pitch - they kept home team South Wilts pinned down with more tight bowling and limited them to 68 for 9. It was a nerve jangling match but some great play saw Parley come through victorious.

The next stage was the National Finals and the team returned another great result. Played at Oundle School in Northamptonshire, the Parley U13s put up a good fight and came in to claim fifth place - meaning they're the fifth best U13 team in the country.

Medals and trophies were presented by Alastair Cook, current England Cricket Captain.

Well done boys!
