Salisbury Racecourse and Westover Group have teamed up to offer one of the best dressed women at Salisbury Racecourse’s Ladies’ Evening on Saturday 11th July the use of a brand new car for a year – or a £1,000 cash prize.
Westover is the new sponsor of the Netherhampton Racecourse’s renowned Ladies’ Evening, the most popular race meeting of the year. As is traditional at the event, course officials award prizes to the 12 women they consider to be sporting the most stylish outfits. These dozen fashionistas will all be entered into a prize draw, with the lucky winner choosing whether to drive away in a Toyota Yaris - which they can borrow free of charge for a year - or opting for an appealing cash alternative.
The Yaris Icon available to the winning local is a five door car with a 1.3 litre petrol engine. Dressed in this season's latest shade, it's every fashion followers favourite. The fuel-efficient supermini, has a stunning interior to match and comes complete with a leather steering wheel, air conditioning, a rear view camera and a state of the art infotainment system.
“The Yaris is a great little car, which has had a makeover this year and is looking better than ever," says Mike Boyd, Westover Group Sales Operations Director. “It will make someone a fantastic vehicle for a year – the only downside is that it might be hard to part with at the end of the twelve months! We've got a cash alternative waiting in the wings should the winner prefer it – sometimes a long, luxury weekend away, a boost to a savings fund, or a contribution to a particular project at home is more desirable and we're happy to accommodate the winner's wishes.
“We're delighted to be able to put our name to the Ladies' Evening this year – it's an event that brings more local people to the Racecourse than any other event simply because it's a great night out.
“More than half of cars are bought by women and our experience is that they hold the bulk of the power when it comes to the decision making process too, so we're grateful for this opportunity to say a small thank you!"
Gates open at 4pm for the Westover Ladies' Evening, with racing starting at 5.55pm and finishing at 9.00pm. There are seven races throughout the evening and five-piece tribute brand, Fake That, will take to the stage after the last race.
In addition to offering race sponsorship, Westover Nissan and Westover Toyota have saddled up for the ninth year running to support Salisbury Racecourse. The showrooms, based in Brunel Road on Churchfields Industrial Estate, are once again providing two complimentary 4x4 vehicles for course officials to use at each of the season's race meetings. The cars are being driven by the race starter and the course doctor.
