Westover Group has a new-look website, launched this week to make searching for new and used vehicles and every day motoring services easier than ever.
The latest generation Westover website has been designed to work more effectively with mobile devices – now the most common way to access the internet. It uses cutting-edge technology to deliver a cleaner appearance and a slicker search function across all media, including smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.
Mark Whittam, Head of Marketing at Westover Group, says: “We’ve spent a lot of time researching just what it is that people want from our website, including when and how they want to access information. We’re really pleased with the results and early feedback from our customer review panel has been good, indicating that the bolder layout makes navigation more straightforward and much quicker.
“The number of people accessing our website from a mobile device continues to increase month on month, so we decided to move forward with the latest upgrades from our internet server and software company, G-Forces, a specialist provider to the automotive industry, with whom we’ve worked for 10 years.
“Their User First NetDirector platform represents a significant change in development techniques and it’s been hugely influenced by the introduction and use of ever-smarter phones, along with improved 4G technology. The revised approach starts with mobile devices first and then applies that design to desktops. It’s always been the other way round in the past but the shift in thinking means visitors to our site get the best possible experience, broader content and faster page load speeds.”
The look and feel of Westover’s new website is consistent, no matter which of the Group’s 16 manufacturer brands browsers choose to view. The site retains all its existing benefits, including the opportunity to live chat with an operator, an online finance calculator to help calculate payment plans for used car purchases, 360 degree images of vehicles, as well as customer reviews and social media feeds. The site’s popular careers page also remains a feature, enabling visitors to consider a career as well as a car change.
Westover Group now represents 16 manufacturer brands from 26 showrooms across Dorset and Wiltshire and employs more than 700 local people.
