Local Businesses Gear up to Support Westover Motor Showcase

Two leading local businesses, Brighter Productions and Bournemouth Cycleworks, are gearing up ready to support Westover’s third Motor Showcase, which takes place at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on 29th and 30th April.

Bournemouth-based Brighter Productions – specialists in the production of bespoke conferences, exhibitions and live events – will be joining Westover at the BIC for the third time, having supported the Group’s previous Motor Showcase events in 2013 and 2015. They’ll be delivering all the technical know-how for the show, providing lighting and sound equipment, as well as large format screens. The brand new, super high definition screens will relay a live Twitter feed as well as highlights from within the BIC’s Solent and Windsor Halls, along with manufacturer and Westover footage of some of the cars in action.

Sean Tomkins, Commercial Director at Brighter Productions, says: “We are delighted to work once again in partnership with Westover Group on their Motor Showcase and everyone at Brighter is hotly anticipating the return of this event. Our 2mm Super-HD Led screens will act as a backdrop to a huge selection of vehicles, magnificently displaying vehicles like the all-new Range Rover Velar and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in all their high definition glory.”

Brighter Productions - which now handles events all over Europe - will be working hard behind the scenes the day before the show opens. The 2015 Motor Showcase saw the team install around 80 lighting fixtures and unreel roughly 2000 metres of cabling in just six hours.

Bournemouth Cycleworks is also revving up ready for Westover’s Motor Showcase. Cycleworks has become the area’s premier shop for everything to do with cycling, from bikes and accessories, to clothing and repairs, as well as bike fits and servicing.

Marc McHale, the company’s owner, will be bringing a selection of 20 bikes along to the BIC from leading brands such as Trek, Giant and Haibike. Spanning all disciplines, Cycleworks will offer fanatics (and leisure cyclists) the chance to see some of the best two-wheeled machines around. There will also be various competitions to win great cycling prizes over the weekend.

“Our bikes perfectly complement Westover’s cars,” says Marc. “We too have something for everyone, whatever the budget and whatever the level of interest. Anyone who gets into cycling will pretty quickly be seeking a roof or rear-mounted bike rack for their car to help them explore further afield, so bikes and cars work together well!

"We’re looking forward to speaking to lots of transport fanatics at the Motor Showcase, giving them tips about how to get the most from their cycling or just having a chat about the best bikes on and off the road today.”

Westover’s Mark Whittam, Head of Marketing, adds: “Our thanks go out to both Brighter Productions and Cycleworks for joining us at our third Motor Showcase. We wouldn’t be able to stage such a stand-out event without Brighter’s assistance – their expertise and professionalism is phenomenal – and the addition of Cycleworks to the line-up adds a real lift to the event.”

Visitors to the BIC will be able to feast their eyes on over 150 of the newest cars currently available in the UK at Westover’s free-to-attend family-focused Motor Showcase.

Anyone can simply turn up on Saturday 29th April (10.00am-5.00pm) or Sunday 30th April (10.00am–4.00pm) but those who register in advance at www.bhlivetickets.co.uk will be entered into a free prize draw - run in association with Auto Trader, the UK’s largest digital vehicle market place - to win a brand new car.
