Jaguar Land Rover Exclusives at Bournemouth International Centre

Westover Motor Showcase, 29th and 30th April 2017

-Range Rover Velar makes its first outing in the South West

-Exclusive visit from Jaguar C-X75

-Land Rover Terrapod off-road experiences available to all Motor Showcase visitors

Jaguar Land Rover will be showcasing the very best of British at Westover Group’s free-to-attend Motor Showcase at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April.

The brand new Range Rover Velar will be making its very first appearance in the South West of England, following its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The Velar is not due in showrooms until July but orders are already flooding in thick and fast at Westover Land Rover. This fourth and newest addition to the Range Rover family is instantly recognisable as a descendant of the original luxury SUV (Velar was the code name for the very first Range Rover prototypes back in the 1960s), yet it combines the very latest in precision engineering with stop-you-in-your-tracks looks. It goes without saying that the Velar has all the off-road credibility of the iconic Land Rover brand.

Another exclusive visitor to the show is the phenomenal Jaguar C-X75. Built by Jaguar with development partner Williams Advanced Engineering, it’s an all-wheel drive, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle which boasts the world's highest specific power engine. The C-X75 can sprint from 0-100mph in less than six seconds, thanks to a 1.6-litre dual-boosted (turbocharged and supercharged) four-cylinder power plant and an advanced seven-speed automated manual transmission that allows gearshifts in under 200 milliseconds. The very first C-X75 prototype exceeded 200mph in testing with ease, and the car has a theoretical maximum velocity of 220mph. All that, plus ultra low emissions and the option of pure electric mode.

“We’re really very privileged to have these two extraordinary vehicles joining us at our Motor Showcase,” says Mark Whittam, Head of Marketing at Westover.

“They’re both truly remarkable cars – one not yet launched and hardly seen to date outside of the international motor show circuit; the other an experiment in future technology that has never been in production. It’s a great indication of the importance Westover’s vehicle manufacturers attach to our Motor Showcase.

"We’re all excited to see these incredible cars (it’ll be a first for our teams too) and can’t wait to show them off to our guests.”

Motor Showcase guests can also enjoy an ‘off road’ experience, courtesy of Land Rover’s amazing Terrapod. Climb aboard an All-New Discovery or a Range Rover Sport and you’ll be driven on a short but challenging track which demonstrates the awesome capability of Land Rover’s vehicles and makes full use of state-of-the-art, off-road technologies.

Available on a first-come-first-served basis, anyone wishing to take a turn will be asked to make a donation to About Face, the local charity offering comfort, support and practical help to patients (and their families) currently experiencing, or having experienced, head and neck cancer, including facial, skin and oral cancers.

Visitors to Westover’s Motor Showcase will be able to feast their eyes on over 150 of the newest cars currently available in the UK. They will also have the opportunity to win a brand new car simply by pre-registering to attend.
