Hardy locals braved the rain in their masses to attend this year's Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show on 17th August.
Despite the downpours, attendance was high and Westover was out in force, represented by its Land Rover, Jaguar, Renault, Dacia, Kia, Skoda and Fiat brands."It was such a shame that we suffered from the weather," says Westover's Suzy Otton, who attended on the day. "Despite fewer visitors than in previous years, our team managed to speak to plenty of customers and other familiar faces, and we also welcomed a lot of new visitors to our stands too. As ever, it was a great event - with the British spirit undampened by the English summer. The day was definitely enjoyed by all, including the Westover staff working on the day."
New for 2015 was the invitation to all trade exhibitors to display a scarecrow on their pitches. Over 80 scarecrows of all shapes and sizes made an appearance.
Westover was in good company, with over 600 trade stands set up at the show, plus another 30 waiting in the wings in case any late space became available. The food hall was packed with tasty treats and the Bold Dogs motorcycle display team put on a stunning show.
The team at Westover are looking forward to next year's show on 17 August 2016 - and also, fingers crossed, to better weather!
