Westover Nissan is supporting eight local men who are putting their strength to the test on Saturday 18th May. The fundraising team will pull a 2.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar truck 26 miles to raise money for the Lewis-Manning and Forest Holme Hospices. To find out more click through to our news pages.
Westover Group’s Chris Swain took to the streets of London on Sunday 21st April, covering the 26.2 miles of the capital’s Marathon and crossing the finish line on the Mall, near Buckingham Palace, in just under five and a half hours. Chris, 53, entered the race dressed as Harry Hill. Congratulations from everyone at Westover!
Clare Bird from Durley Chine, the lucky winner of Westover’s Motor Showcase prize draw, has collected her brand new car, courtesy of Westover and AutoTrader. A balloon release in Bournemouth Square to celebrate Westover's first ever Motor Showcase at the BIC saw 40 balloons take flight from the sun roof of a white Fiat 500. The winner of a competition to guess the number of balloons will enjoy a complimentary trip to Champneys Spa.
The first ever Motor Showcase hosted by the Westover Group saw more than 3,000 visitors come through the doors of the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) last weekend. Anyone who registered online and presented their printed ticket on arrival was automatically entered into a free prize draw to win a brand new Peugeot 208. The winner will be contacted by Friday 22nd March.
Westover Group recently powered up to support local Rotary Clubs lay on their annual Technology Tournament for secondary school students. Tasked with building a self propelled vehicle able to climb a ramp with only a weight to power it, the students came up trumps under the watchful eye of the judges.
Roughly 50 local cyclists took part in a charity ride from Westover Jaguar’s showroom. The event - held to celebrate National Cycle Weekend, as well as the launch of the new Jaguar Sportbrake - raised money for local charity, About Face, which supports people with cancer of the head and neck.
Mike Boyd, Westover Group Director, presented Chrissie Wathen-Neal, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support in Dorset, with a cheque for £3059.73. The money was raised as a result of coffee mornings and cake sales held at each of Westover’s 21 showrooms in Dorset and Wiltshire as part of Macmillan’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event.
