Lotus Evora Drops into Westover showroom En Route To Paris Motor Show

Westover Sportscars has given committed sports car enthusiasts an exclusive preview of the Lotus Evora. En route to the Paris Motor Show (which starts on 4th october), the all-new Evora had only one stop- Westover's prestigious dealership on West Quay Road.

Such is the allure of Lotus' stunning new offering that the showroom has already taken 18 orders (one within just 10 minutes of the car being unveiled on 22nd July at the British International Motor Show in London), even though the first deliveries won't be made until the middle of next year and the exact price has not yet been confirmed.

"This isn't simply a variation on previous models," says Chris Amey, sales manager. "It's an entirely new vehicle, based on completely different underpinnings. It's an amazing car and, perhaps because it's the first new model that lotus has launched in 13 years, the local response to it was even better than we had expected.

"We're one of just a handful of dealerships across the UK that has been selected to sell the Evora- thanks to our gold-standard facilities and impeccable service levels- and it's an enormous privilege. We've got high hopes for the car's success in this region, although there will only be a limited number available next year. Assuming we maintain our current sales rate. the waiting list is likely to be quite significant and I'd urge anyone who wants to be amongst the first driving the Evora on the UK's roads to stake their claim!"

With all the capability of its predecessors, the Evora is more practical and comes with the option of either a 2+2 passenger layout or additional boot space. It has a luxurious interior, crafted with comfort in mind, as well as six speed manual transmission and a 3.5 litre Toyota- sourced V6 engine, which delivers 276 bhp and can achieve 60 mph in less than five seconds. Prices as likely to start at around £45,000.
