Lexus Poole has just unveiled the Lexus CT 200h at a special VIP launch event, attended by over 200 invited guests, but it seems that local drivers have been revved up about the launch for some time.
“People are genuinely excited about this revolutionary vehicle which brings full hybrid technology to the luxury compact market for the first time and we’ve been taking orders since last year,” said Centre Principal, Martin Hayward. “It’s a world first and we are really proud to be part of it.”
Not only is the Lexus CT 200h the first hybrid in its sector, it is also Lexus’ first compact five-door car and takes its place as the new gateway model for the Lexus range. It is a full hybrid, capable of running on its petrol engine or electric motor alone, or with both working in combination. It delivers an incredible 68.9mpg on a combined cycle, while also benefiting from low emissions of just 94g/km. This means that not only is it fuel efficient – it also offers low ownership costs resulting from a zero road tax fund and, if you’re a company car driver, you receive a 10 per cent Benefit-in-Kind company car tax rating.
The CT 200h is available in three equipment grades, SE-I, SE-L and SE-L Premier with a luxury specification as standard across the board, reflecting Lexus’s focus on peerless quality and refinement, plus segment-leading safety provisions. Prices start from just £23,485 on the road.
