Andrew Mathis, previously Centre Manager at Lexus Poole, has returned to the business to head up the team at the West Quay Road Centre, following nine months away from the area working in a corporate sales role.
“Having moved to pastures new with another brand, we’re delighted that Andrew has chosen to rejoin us,” says Mike Boyd, who has responsibility for the Lexus brand as Westover Group Operations Director. “He did an excellent job when he was here from 2007 to 2015 and I have no doubt that he’ll go from strength to strength now he’s back at the Centre.
“Andrew has helped me to build a really strong team – genuinely the best we’ve ever had at Lexus. They’ve been picked for their expertise in customer care because that’s at the heart of everything we do. We now have a great group of individuals, delivering an exceptional service. Their manner and approach reflects the Lexus way – understated but undoubtedly premium.”
Supporting Andrew are right-hand man, Gary Waite (who has worked in the Lexus network for six years); sales specialists Luke Diamond and Carl Outterside; and Jane Boyle, the Centre’s exceptional host who has a knack for making customers feeling welcome. The Lexus Care aftersales team is headed by Westover stalwart, Lee Tuxford, who’s been with the Group since 2000. Paul Hawkins and Luke Jackson run the service reception desk with Gavin Davidson as Parts Manager and three highly skilled, factory-trained technicians in the workshop.
Speaking about his time away, Andrew says: “It was good to get a different perspective on the motor industry but it made me realise just how much I enjoyed looking after customers on an individual basis, which is exactly what the Lexus brand is all about. Lexus products are truly world class and that is mirrored in the experience that customers receive when they visit our centre – we very much aspire to deliver to the highest possible level in everything we do here. It feels really good to be back and I can’t wait to see some familiar faces.”
It’s an exciting time for Lexus, thanks to two recent model launches – the Lexus RC, a stunning two door sports coupe, and the RX, a premium SUV. The eagerly awaited LC is due out next year and it promises supercar looks and performance, combined with hybrid technology – a field in which Lexus is the undisputed market leader. These fresh new models are proving appealing to new audiences, as well as to those in the know about the Lexus Poole experience.
The Lexus range starts from £21,245, with pre-owned vehicles from just £7,995.
