- Westover Land Rover supports Savills Countryside Alliance Point to Point for 10th consecutive year
- Point to Point celebrates its 10th anniversary
- #Hibernot comes to Badbury Rings, channelling Land Rover's adventurous spirit
Westover Land Rover supported the Savills Countryside Alliance Point to Point at Badbury Rings on Sunday 21st February. The event was hosted by the new Chief Executive of the Countryside Alliance, Tim Bonner, and enjoyed its best attendance since 2013, with 4,000 people coming on the day.
"We had a tremendously successful day - and great fun too," says Andy Grant, Brand Manager at Westover Jaguar Land Rover.
"The team welcomed a great many visitors and I'm pleased to say we enjoyed a rare rain-free day! There was a great deal of interest in our vehicles, as there is every year. This is the 10th consecutive time we've supported the Countryside Alliance Point to Point - which is itself celebrating its 10th anniversary - and we'll definitely be back for more in 2017.
"The event was made even more special for us and our guests this year because we were also celebrating #Hibernot - a Land Rover initiative to encourage people to make the most of the winter months and embrace everything the season has to offer.
"We enjoyed winter themed hot food and drinks supplied by Jez Barfoot and his team from the Flying Pig (the outside catering arm of the Tickled Pig in Wimborne), which was all delicious and really helped make it a day to remember."
Westover's guests were able to make the most of a Land Rover hospitality unit as well as a marquee supplied by Fordingbridge-based company Marlin Marquees.
Also on hand was local photographer John Watson, LSWPP, who ran three well-attended photography master-classes, offering tips for successful winter photography and helping Westover Land Rover visitors capture their winter adventures in the best possible light.
Last but not least, Westover Land Rover in Christchurch and Salisbury showcased vehicles from across the Land Rover range.
The Wessex National race, one of six during the day, was sponsored by Westover Land Rover.
New to the point to point's line up this year was a big screen which showed all the races and was a great addition for anyone who was temporarily away from the track. A whole host of other activities also took place, including cookery demonstrations, children's activities, terrior racing and rural crafts.
