Now in its fourth year The Sunday Times Hot Laps challenge gives you the chance to post your very own Hot Lap time in an XKR, Jaguar's ultimate expression of power and performance.
THE COMPETITION
Each month a minimum of four lucky readers will be chosen and invited to complete two timed laps of the re-modelled 1.2 mile Stowe Circuit at Silverstone in an XKR.
Entry into the competition is through the Sunday Times ingear website.
THE CAR
The superb XKR epitomises Jaguar performance and innovation. The Supercharged version of Jaguar's 5.0 litre AJ-V8 GEN III engine delivers breathtaking levels of power. Active Differential Control and Dynamic Stability Control work together to empower the driver with finely judged control as well as thrilling performance.

THE CIRCUIT
Silverstone's re-designed Stowe circuit is new for this year's competition and although the track is tight and twisty, the XKRs will still be reaching speeds in excess of 100mph on the main straight. Enjoy training from senior instructors at Silverstone's driving school before attempting your laps which onboard cameras will capture and share with the world!
THE FINAL
The competition reaches its climax in September when the fastest drivers are once again invited back to Silverstone for a final head to head and the chance to win an XKR coupe for 6 months.
Last year's winner, Cardiologist Jim Newton, roared across the finish line in a blistering 1.09.95 seconds. His XKR was handed over by his local Jaguar dealer Sturgess of Leicester.
