As an Apprentice what will you be doing?

As an Apprentice you will be working alongside qualified and highly experienced members of staff, many of whom would have started their careers as an Apprentice just like you. You will have a dedicated mentor who will guide you through your whole learning journey and help you maximise your potential by sharing their knowledge.

Alongside your on-the-job training you will also undertake classroom based training at the state of the art training academies our Brand partners run. You will get to meet other Apprentices across the Country so you can share your experiences, support each other with completing assignments and develop long lasting friendships.

An Apprenticeship is just the start and here at the Westover Group we don’t want your journey to end once you have achieved your qualifications. We want to nurture talent and support you with your goals to enable you to have a long and fulfilling career with us.

Entry Requirements

To be considered for one of our apprenticeships, you will need a minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade A*- D or equivalent. If you are waiting to sit your exams then don’t worry, your predicted grades will be fine.

Apprentice Service Advisor, Poole

Westover Renault, Fiat and Hyundai are looking for an enthusiastic Service Apprentice to join their successful team in Poole

What does a Service Advisor do?

With a friendly and professional disposition, our Service Advisors are our principle point of contact for all customer correspondence whilst their vehicles are in our care. They have excellent communication and organisational skills in order to deal with customers face to face or over the telephone and always ensure they deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times.

Service Advisors quickly identify the needs of our customers using their technical knowledge and will identify opportunities to upsell in order to achieve their targets and grow customer retention.

As an apprentice, what will you be doing?

Working alongside qualified members of staff, you will be able to develop your Aftersales knowledge and learn first-hand how to undertake the role. Shadowing a Service Advisor, you will assist with:

  • Booking in cars for MOTs, services and repair work
  • Upselling and cross-selling additional products and services
  • Liaising with customers and the workshop
  • Processing payments and raising invoices

Once you start passing your assignments and your confidence in the role increases, you will be able to start completing these tasks on your own, dealing with your own customers and orders and delivering the customer experience that Westover Group are proud to offer.

To be a success in this role you will possess

  • A strong interest in the motor industry
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
  • Good problem solving and organisational skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Core IT skills including web systems, MS Office, email and databases

What qualifications are required to be considered for this apprenticeship?

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you will need a minimum of GCSE A*-D (or equivalent) in Maths, English and ICT
