IMPORTANT 2012 NEWS
From April 2012, the Annual Investment Allowance (AIA) that enables businesses to claim full tax relief on most plant and machinery, including commercial vehicles will be reduced from £100,000 down to £25,000 of their annual expenditure.
If businesses wait until April 2012 to purchase their commercial vehicles, they may end up losing out of the £100,000 limit that is currently available, and may not be able to offset 100% of the capital cost of the vehicle against their taxable profits in Yr1.
