Winter Safety at Westover
With winter upon us now is the time to prepare your vehicle for the adverse weather conditions which have become synonymous with this time of year.
Winter tyres are a great addition to your car which help to significantly increase your safety whilst driving in poor conditions; it's not just ice and snow - even cold and damp surfaces greatly reduce grip and traction which can lead to un-necessary and unpleasant accidents that could have been avoided.
Skoda have taken the time to demonstrate the advantages winter tyres provide.
Below 7° Celsius summer tyres become hard and are less able to key into the road surfaces. Winter tyres are made from a different compound which allows them to remain flexible during cold temperatures, allowing them to lock in to the peaks and troughs of the road surface.
Winter tyres also have more grooves to provide better grip in wet, icy and snowy conditions.
