Today’s Westover Group is very different from the company that first opened its doors for business in Bournemouth in 1923. Thanks to nearly 90 years in the motor trade, we’ve become a forward-thinking and vibrant company. We’ve learnt what motorists want and we work hard to exceed expectations.

Expansion

The Group has grown significantly in the last two decades, expanding the number and range of manufacturers it represents. We’ve incorporated several struggling businesses over the years, protecting local jobs and building our portfolio of vehicles.

We now offer the widest choice of cars in the region, operating franchises for 14 vehicle manufacturers from 26 locations across Dorset and Wiltshire. We run 21 showrooms (each with its own workshop) and two dedicated accident repair centres in Poole and Salisbury. The Group also has two vehicle storage facilities and a head office. More than 500 people currently work at Westover.

The company has been in private ownership since 1985, when it was purchased by a management team headed by Peter Wood, the present chairman.

Customer Care

As a privately-owned enterprise, we're determined to offer our customers and their cars the best possible level of care. We've invested heavily in our buildings and our infrastructure (and we are continuing to do so) but we’ve also concentrated our resources on our dealership teams, making sure our businesses are staffed by capable, courteous and well qualified people. Some of our team members have worked with us for 20 years or more and many are equipped with the best skills the industry can offer.
